Tim & Emma – Mantra on Salt Beach, Kingscliff

Photography

We both have a passion for photography and were looking for a photographer who would capture our day in an artistic way. We stumbled across White Pearl Photography’s website and were immediately captured by the beautiful lighting, composition and emotion reflected in his images. On the day,  Josh was punctual, professional and an absolute pleasure to work with. He absolutely nailed our location shoot, which was at one of our favourite spots in Cabarita on the NSW coast – the images captured are just breathtaking. We can’t thank him enough for making our day memorable in so many ways. He definitely went above and beyond our expectations. We are delighted with our photos and would highly recommend Josh from White Pearl Photography!

How you met

We met at a good old Sunday session at the well known Shepherd’s Bush Walkabout Pub in London. It was my last week in the UK before heading back to Australia therefore it went no further until Tim moved to Perth 18 months later where I was living at the time and the rest is history.

The proposal

Last year we went on an overseas trip to Italy. Whilst exploring Tuscany we came across a town called Pienza which had the most spectacular views. It was there, completely unexpectedly and romantically, that Tim proposed to me, overlooking the beautiful Tuscan countryside. He had been on a surf trip before we met up in Italy and carried the ring on a boat through the Mentawai Islands.

Ceremony & Reception

We chose the Mantra on Salt in Kingscliff for both our ceremony and reception venue as the location had so much to offer and the majority of our guests were travelling long distances to share our day. The Mantra staff were great and made the whole process easy, particularly on the day. Our guests were also very happy with the venue.

Decorations & Theme

We both love the beach and ironically my new surname was going to be ’Beach’ so we decided to theme our wedding accordingly. Our colour scheme was blue and white, which worked well throughout our wedding from our bridal party to our table settings. As my dress was quite vintage looking I incorporated a vintage theme to the reception. We had blue tea light candles, green vase centrepieces with oriental lilies on white tablecloths and burlap runners. All the decorations were done ourselves including the handmade soaps compliments of my sister, which we individually wrapped like presents in brown paper with soft pink ribbon and handwritten names in gold pen.

Dress

I couldn’t believe my luck when my sister and I found this stunning vintage looking dress in Belladonna Bridal, Brisbane. The dress was absolutely beautiful in every way with its detailed crotched lace, low keyhole back and subtle train. I tried it on and looked no further, it was perfect for me.
